Wide Group is the leading technology-led commercial broking consolidator in Italy, and the acquisition of AIC will further expand the group’s presence in the Abruzzo region and add additional technical insurance capability to the group. AIC’s senior leadership, Gianpaolo Torrieri, Leonardo Scarponi, and Luigi Flaviani, will join Wide Group as new senior partners, and Alessandro D’Ilario, the business’ founder, will remain an integral part of the new team.

Pollen Street backed Wide in 2023 to pursue an M&A led growth plan and this acquisition is the 5th deal completed in the first 12 months of Pollen Street ownership, representing a strong step forward in its inorganic strategy, with continued momentum expected through the near-term pipeline of potential M&A targets.
